Ep-42: SDG 16.8- Strengthening participation of developing countries in the institutions of global governance (Hindi)

This episode of Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz focuses on  broadening and strengthening the participation of developing countries in the institutions of global governance as it  has not been an easy task for developing countries to garner support for their demands in many of the institutions of global governance.

Talking about the importance of institutions of global governance for developing countries, the programme suggests that countries in the developing world should move ahead from merely making petitions at the doors of such institutions to assertion of their due demands.

On September 25th, 2015, member states of the United Nations adopted a set of 17 goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.

For this episode, we interviewed Dr Shashi Tharoor, Former Union Minister, Author, and Member of Parliament.
