PGC ( Public Grievances Commission) is a view to providing a comprehensive mechanism for redressal of grievances of the public against the Departments of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Delhi Police & Local Bodies Autonomous Organization or Undertaking & other Institution owned or sub stantially financed by Govt.of Delhi.
In the villages of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan children below the age of 18 have got together and have formed Bal Panchayat a body like Gram Panchayat in their villages.
These little children elect their leaders and vote exactly like in Gram Panchayat and elect their Sarpanch. In these villages these children have certainly made some difference by addressing local issues like drinking water, toilets in schools and in proper mid day meals. This programme imparts more information on Bal Panchayat and the children’s initiative to solve these problems.
The programme includes voices of construction workers on their own experience, Shri Mangat Ram Singhal, Hon'ble Minister of State for Labour on the benefits that registered construction workers in Delhi can expect to receive, and prominent activist R.Geetha on the successful struggles of labourers in Tamil Nadu.
