Mission & Vission

<p>To provide information, education and entertainment to our listening community through their own programmes and problems drown from their day to day life. To make them participate in the radio programmes at all levels.</p>

Genesis

<p>A complete survey of the surround area was conducted with the help of our students identifying the classification of people living. Most of the listeners in these areas were residence of JJ colony, slums, semi urban and lower income group people who need it to be told about their right and duties, countries development and economic opportunities available to increase their source of income. We applied for Community Radio to fulfil this need and have successfully done so.&nbsp;</p>

Thematic Focus

Radio JIMS broadcasts its programmes for four hours daily between 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.

Manshaa Discussion 9:00 am–9:30 am. Half an hour programme which talks about not only empowering women but also making them legally aware about day to day issues.

Career Wise Information Sharing 10:00 am–10:30 am Counseling students about various career options available.
Paisa Vassol Review and Analysis 10:30 am–11:30 am Talks about latest film reviews and infotainment.
Baat pate ke Magazine format 11:30 am–12:30 pm Health programme related to people’s health, one hour every day.

Programme

<p>Signature Programme: Community kiAawaz, Dhanak, Chaupal, Aaoachchisehatbanayein, Nayasaveranayiraah. Community Participation: Research, script creation and programme production is done with the students. Innovations in format: Dhanak is our radio magazine where we use various formats in one programme.</p>

Impact & Stories

<p>We are providing training to community boys and girls from our CR to make them learn programme production and broadcasting under non-customised programme of JIMS community college under IGNOU. Many women have formed their own small groups and have started small enterprises as home production of articles like food products (pickle, papad, snacks, etc.) We have successfully completed science for women project in cooperation with CEMCA and Ministry of Information &amp; Technology.</p>
