Telecentres and its role in the rural villages (Nepali)

This programme speaks of a two day meeting organized by OneWorld South Asia and FIT Nepal for the knowledge coordinators of twelve Tele Centres in Kathmandu.  Mr. Ramesh Adhakari from UNDP Nepal and Mr. Nirmal Riazwal from Equal Access shared their point of view in this meeting.

The main debate in this meeting was achieving the Millennium Development Goals with the help of Rural Tele Centres. What are the necessary strategies and steps to be followed by the Tele Centres were also discussed.  Apart from providing telephone services, fax, internet and photocopy Tele Centres were told to build their capacity in imparting valuable information to the villagers on health, Government Schemes, and their Rights.
