Leather Puppetry - Handicraft Art (Hindi)

This is a series of radio programmes, where the Ministry of Textiles collaborated with OneWorld Foundation India to develop and disseminate the information on the handicraft art and the artistes associated with it.

CR licensing procedure and its challenges (Hindi)

In this episode of Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz, the challenges faced by recently operational Community Radio Stations during the licensing procedure are focused upon. Manvendra Singh Negi, Mandakini Ki Awaaz and Amit Kumar Om, BBD Community Radio share their experiences and the types of problems they faced at the various stages of the licensing procedure. One of the major problems they faced was during the application of frequency and SACFA application were the know how of technical details, which makes it difficult for an applicant to move forward in the licensing procedure.

Legal Awareness among people (Hindi)

It is a radio programme produced by Ek Duniya Ek Awaz. The present
programme is based on the issues of legal awareness among people. Nyayapath is an initiative by UNDP, Department of Justice, Government of India and OneWorld. Information regarding legal awareness can be obtained from nyayapath.net and the information kiosk, Nyayapath, which have been installed in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Anju Talukdar, Executive Director, Multiple Action Research Group (MARG) speaks about the importance of training and participation of people for making people aware of their legal rights. She added that the use of various media has been useful in providing information and to promote people on their legal rights and literacy.

Frequency mapping for efficient allocation of spectrum (Hindi)

This episode of Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz focusses on the issue of frequency clash and frequency overlapping being faced by operational Community Radio Stations. Radio Active, Karnataka shared their experiences of frequency clash. The episode also stresses on possible solutions for the clash of frequencies. Devi Leena from MARAA speaks about the importance of frequency mapping as a possible solution for the issue. She urges that a rigourous mapping of frequencies is required for efficient use of the spectrum available.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz

Run by OneWorld since 2005, Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz or EDEA (One World, One Voice) is a radio programme on development issues in Hindi broadcast on the popular national channel, AIR FM Rainbow India 102.6 MHz. The programme focuses on sustainable development related themes and usually features interaction with distinguished people. Till date, EDEA has broadcast about 600 radio programmes.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz is broadcast every Wednesday from 16:30 Hours - 16:45 Hours.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz is a flagship programme of OneWorld Foundation India.

At Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz we receive people's feedback on our programme from more than 20 Indian states. SMS feedbacks received after broadcast of EDEA episode average between 60 to 70.
