Community Radio is owned and operated in the community, for the community, about the community and by the community. The community can be territorial or geographical- a township, village, district or island. It can be managed or controlled by one group, by combined groups, or by people such as women, children, farmers, fisher folk, ethnic groups, or senior citizens. The central purpose for this radio is to offer the people a voice and help develop the community.

A radio station is recognized as ‘community radio’ when the station is owned by a non-profit group or by a co-operative whose members are the listeners themselves. The purpose therefore, is the name itself - to build community life.

Weather is considered a possible influence on a wide variety of health conditions. In some cases, such as migraine headaches, weather may bring on an episode. In other cases, weather factors may make existing pain worse.

“Weather  change” adversely affects on the health of a person. Fever, cold & cough are the common diseases which occur due to weather change.

Life can be stressful. We all face different challenges and obstacles, and sometimes the pressure is hard to handle. When we feel overwhelmed, under the gun, or unsure of how to meet the demands placed on us, we experience stress. In small doses, stress can be a good thing. It can give you the push you need, motivating you to do your best and to stay focused and alert.

But when stress is caused due to the exams in the children then it affects children’s health in many ways, as they don’t eat well, sleep well. But a good nutrition is must for the children in the exams. Parents are the care taker of the children, they have to keep attention on the child's diet during the exams. Because if they don’t eat well, it affects the child's health. There are many type of nutritious food for the children.

In the breakfast, we can give them sprouted cereals, eggs, milk, Soya, pulses. These are full of protein, carbohydrate. 

A way of protecting the human body against infectious diseases - Immunization (Hindi)

Babies are born with some natural immunity which they get from their mother and through breast-feeding. This gradually wears off as the baby's own immune system starts to develop. Having your child immunized gives extra protection against illnesses which can kill. “Immunization” is a way of protecting the human body against infectious diseases through vaccination. Immunization prepares our bodies to fight against diseases in case we come into contact with them in the future. As to protect the child there are some vaccines are present and the schedule recommends that the vaccinations should start when the baby is 1 1/2 months old.

इस कार्यक्रम मैं रक्षा बंधन तेयोहार पर एक अलग नजरिया पेश किया गया है | इस कार्यक्रम के अनुसार इस फेस्टिवल मैं महिलाओं को पुरुषों पर आश्रित होना पड़ता हैं जो की इस तेयोहार के माध्यम से उनकी रक्षा का वचन देते हैं जबकि आज के दौर मैं महिलाएं अपने काम या रोज़गार के सिलसिले मैं अपने परिवार से दूर होती हैं और उन पर निर्भर न हो कर अपने परिवार की हर तरह से मदद करती हैं| इस परिस्थिति मैं उसके मित्र , पडोसी या रिश्तेदार ही उसके नजदीक होते हैं| इस कार्यक्रम के अनुसार रक्षा के ज़रूरत केवल महिलाओं को नहीं पड़ती हैं पुरुषों को भी रक्षा की ज़रूरत होती है और रक्षा के लिए बंधन दो महिला या दो पुरुष या दो दोस्त आपस मैं बांध सकते हैं| इस फेस्टिवल को केवल आपसी प्यार और स्नेह के लिए आपस मैं मानना चाहिए.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz

Run by OneWorld since 2005, Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz or EDEA (One World, One Voice) is a radio programme on development issues in Hindi broadcast on the popular national channel, AIR FM Rainbow India 102.6 MHz. The programme focuses on sustainable development related themes and usually features interaction with distinguished people. Till date, EDEA has broadcast about 600 radio programmes.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz is broadcast every Wednesday from 16:30 Hours - 16:45 Hours.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz is a flagship programme of OneWorld Foundation India.

At Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz we receive people's feedback on our programme from more than 20 Indian states. SMS feedbacks received after broadcast of EDEA episode average between 60 to 70.
