Kshayawar Vijay - How does TB spread? (Victory on TB) ( Marathi)

Tuberculosis is considered to be a communicable disease. This episode explains how TB spreads through the air mainly by coughs, sneezes and sputum. TB affects the people who generally have low levels of immunity. Cough hygiene is considered an important step in avoiding TB. Cough hygiene can be defined as the proper disposal of cough in such a way that it prevents the spread of infection to others. It can be done by using a handkerchief or napkin while coughing or sneezing and washing hands regularly. One should avoid spitting in open places. TB does not spread by touching the clothes or shaking hands with someone who is infected. This episode of ‘Kshayawar Vijay’ (Victory on TB) is part of a 16 episode series on Tuberculosis produced by Radio FTII with support from REACH Chennai.

This programme is part of REACH Chennai's collaboration with Community Radio Stations under Project Axshya.
