In this programme, Mrs. Sweta Rawat, Chairperson, The Hans Foundation talks about her orgainzation role on three different issues i.e. Disability, Health and Education.

The Hans Foundation, which is a charitable trust fund that was created to provide a source of endowment for not-for-profit organizations in India. The foundation's aim is to provide equal access to quality facilities for healthcare and education.

She talks about the statewide development program 'Uttarakhand 2020', focusing on disease prevention, children's education and forest regeneration in Uttarakhand.

In India, a majority of the disabled resides in rural areas where accessibility, availability, and utilization of rehabilitation services and its cost-effectiveness are the major issues to be considered. Research on disability burden, appropriate intervention strategies and their implementation to the present context in India is a big challenge.

This radio programme of Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz talks about the rights of differently-abled people. Javed Abidi, Director, National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People talks about the law and accessibility for disabled people that helps in their education and employment. Society needs to change its perception towards differently-abled people. He also speaks about lack of awareness and various problems facing by them in rural areas. He also appreciate "Nyayapath", an initiative by UNDP, Department of Justice, Government of India and OneWorld.

Senior Citizen - Rights and Issues (Hindi)

It is a radio programme produced by Ek Duniya Ek Awaz. The present programme is based on the issues of senior citizens. It talks about the basic needs of senior citizens. Himanshu Rath, Founder, Agewell Foundation speaks about the various issues and problems of senior citizens. He urges that we should change our mentality and perception for them. He added that we need to understand the current situation of old age homes and our senior citizens should be our priority in any case.

This episode of Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz, focusses on the role played by the Community radio Facilitation Centre (CRFC) in assisting applicants to apply for the grant of setting up a Community Radio Station. Applicants who are in the final stages of the licensing procedure have spoken about the difficulties they faced during the procedure and how CRFC supported in achieving licenses at different levels of the procedure.

The episode revolves around various issues that are dealt by the artistes in their day to day life and also shared some of his memorable experiences.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz

Run by OneWorld since 2005, Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz or EDEA (One World, One Voice) is a radio programme on development issues in Hindi broadcast on the popular national channel, AIR FM Rainbow India 102.6 MHz. The programme focuses on sustainable development related themes and usually features interaction with distinguished people. Till date, EDEA has broadcast about 600 radio programmes.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz is broadcast every Wednesday from 16:30 Hours - 16:45 Hours.

Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz is a flagship programme of OneWorld Foundation India.

At Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz we receive people's feedback on our programme from more than 20 Indian states. SMS feedbacks received after broadcast of EDEA episode average between 60 to 70.
