Ideosync Media Combine is a not for profit organization (www.ideosyncmedia.org) working on Communication for Social Change for more than 15 years. We are currently looking for innovative, enthusiastic and creative young professionals with training in communication to join the Ideosync team as Program Officer, Web developer, Junior Program Associate, and Admin and Finance Associate for a pan-Indian two year initiative.
Work will involve:
- Technical and training support for community media initiatives to assist in production and finalization of audio, video and multimedia content
- Designing and producing audio and visual content on a variety of issues for broadcast as well as use by partner organizations
- Web based 3G and 4G solutions for communication for social change work
- Formative research and impact assessment of the various C4SC initiatives
- Assisting with reporting on projects and sharing program results
- Coordination of field activities and partner initiatives
Qualification, skills and experience required
Candidates should apply only if they have adequate training and skills as per the position they are applying for. Exposure and understanding of development communication including hands on radio and/ or video and new media production and editing experience. Good English and Hindi speaking, reading and writing skills are a must. Additional regional language skills will be an added advantage.
The following are the qualifications required:
- A master’s degree or advanced diploma in relevant communication or social sciences disciplines (Media and Communication Development Studies, Creative Industries, or a related field) or equivalent accreditation or standing. Technical Media training will be an advantage.
- At least 2-4 years project coordination and management/content production experience. However fresh graduates from Mass communication courses, film schools and any other communication schools are encouraged to apply and may get selected for a junior position.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with community members; evidence of self-motivation, leadership skills and initiative taking will be appreciated
- Fluency with computers especially all word processing and data software and ability to create presentations, develop training materials and conduct workshops.
- Knowledge of media technologies and equipment like radio and television and familiarity with content production and broadcast processes. Knowledge of design software, media editing software will be added advantage.
