Communications officer
Reports To: Senior Brand and Communications Manager
Location: New Delhi
Grade: B
Level of Contact with Children: 2 - Sporadic or occasional contact with children
Job Purpose
To assist in the Brand related work and donor communications for Plan India.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinate for the Plan Brand related work – Coordinating with the agencies
- Managing interface with the agencies on a regular basis to ensure basic delivery
- Generating the content for various brand and donor communications material
- Doing the groundwork for the ATL Campaigns and BTL communications with the donors
- Landscape analysis, competition mapping for Individual and Corporate donors communications
- Donor Communications – Assist in developing Strategy for the Donors’ communications
- Ensuring standardisation and compliance of Global Identity and Plan India Brand norms in all Brand related and donor Communications
- Coordinating with various in-house stakeholders including Communications and Fundraising team,
- Programs and Administration to ensure creation of innovative ideas/concepts and ensuring their successful execution
Person Specifications:
- A university degree and an equivalent experience in communication field or any other specific field relevant to Plan’s work;
- Working experience of at least three years in communication - Preferably in Ad agencies.
- Able to work in a multi-cultural team and with good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work to a high standard, manage stress while prioritising multiple tasks and meeting deadlines and able to adapt to organizational wider needs;
- An excellent command of both written and spoken English. A good knowledge of Hindi is an advantage. Additional Indian languages are considered an asset.
- Skilled and confident user of office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and calendar applications. Desk top publishing/ photo shop and Web-design knowledge.
Travel Requirements: Upto 15% of time.
