नया साल आने के साथ ही लोगों के चेहरे पर खुशी झलकती है। बीती बातों को छोड़ते हुए हर इंसान इस साल अपने लिए नए सपने संजोता है, तथा अपने जीवन की बेहतरी के लिए तत्पर रहता है। इसी धारणा के साथ कि अगर नए साल का पहला दिन अच्छा रहा तो पुरा साल बेहतर होगा।

लेकिन समाज में कुछ ऐसे भी लोग हैं जो इसी उम्मीद के साथ अपना जीवन जी रहे हैं, कि एक न एक दिन समाज उन्हें अपनाएगा। इस कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से एच आई वी एड्स से ग्रसित लोग, देह व्यापार में लिप्त महिलाएं, समलैंगिक, किन्नर आदि लोगों के साथ कुछ बातें की गई जिनके भी कुछ सपने हैं, और इन्ही का इजहार करने के लिए नया साल वे अपने ही अंदाज में मनाते हैं।

कार्यक्रम में वूमेन एक्शन ग्रुप चेल्सी के स्टीफन पोल्लुसे का भी साक्षात्कार लिया गया जिसमे उन्होंने बताया कि उनकी संस्था किस तरह से एच आई वी एड्स से ग्रसित लोगों के साथ नया साल मनाती है। उनका यही कहना है कि इन सब लोगों के साथ भेदभाव को ख़तम कर प्यार बांटने की जरुरत है।

In this episode of Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz, we are celebrating the composite culture of India. The highlight of the programme is an interview with famous Sufi singer Kailash Kher in which he shares his views on music and how it helps in binding the country of such diversity together.

Celebrating the International Human Rights day, the programme focuses on the issue of dignity. It traces the origin of this important day to adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948.
The expert P C Sharma from National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) emphasises on how to approach NHRC and procedures that the body adopts to solve cases. The expert has also informed about the trainings and conferences that NHRC conducts to educate individuals and organisations about human rights.
