National Consultation on Community Radio from 2nd August at Odisha capital Bhubaneswar

Community radios operating in different states & UTs of the country will meet From 2nd to 3rd August 2017 at Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha to keep account of the community radio experiences in India, including its strong prospective for bringing social change through reducing the vulnerabilities of people building resilient community.

Community radio has been one of the very effective medium of reaching out to the most marginalized communities whose voice has not been heard. The role of community radio has been very significant in bringing change through connecting people with information on their rights and entitlements. Also it is one of the effective means of making the voice of the community heard and collectivizing people around the issue that affect most.
